The CAU Alumni Association, Charlotte Chapter, is your source for CAU-related networking, educational, and service opportunities. We are always looking for new friends to share our love for CAU – so get in touch and reconnect with your CAU family. We are looking forward to meeting you!
The mission of the Charlotte Chapter is to support the National Alumni Association of Clark Atlanta University. We focus on chapter membership, student recruitment, scholarship, and community service.

A Message from our President
Greetings from the Queen City!
We welcome you to one of the assiduous chapters in the Southeast. Composed of lawyers, doctors, executives, nurses, accountants, engineers, brand strategists, and entrepreneurs (just to name a few) we thank you for your commitment and enthusiasm to serve our beloved Clark Atlanta University. To those of you who are not affiliated with the Charlotte Chapter, we urge you to join us in Culture for Service as we continue our efforts to serve Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
The last two years have been tough considering the impact Covid-19 had on our social gatherings, however, our Chapter was committed to a Culture for Service! We adapted, and “Found a Way or Made One” to persist with service. We transformed our 4th annual Scholarship Banquet from the conventional design and executed our very first Text to Give Platform and successfully raised $8,915.00 for deserving students.
Our past achievements are inclusive of: Membership Drives, Founders’ Week Celebration, National CAU Unity Brick Campaign, 4th Annual Scholarship Banquet, Chapter Popcorn Fundraisers, National Alumni Day Participation, Annual Freshman Send-Off Campaign, Thanksgiving Adopt a Family, Christmas Soiree, and most importantly we awarded two deserving CAU Students with Scholarships!
Our goals continue to encompass: increasing the number of active and financial members through our Membership Campaign, re-engaging our Charlotte Alumni, opening up Charlotte Chapter membership to include the surrounding North Carolina areas (Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and South Carolina), the implantation and creation of local chapter membership cards, meeting our monetary goal for our 5th Annual Scholarship Brunch, and making a substantial donation to our institution (for the possible renovation of our alumni house). Your donations, time, and support are essential in the furtherance of students’ success. The dedication to our motto: culture for service is embodied each time you assist and mentor a future alum!
